Adebayor fires Spurs to unsettle Arsenal

Tottenham moved a step better in the race for top four finish after beating Stoke 2-1 in a Barclays Premiership match at the Britannia Stadium on Sunday afternoon with Emmanuel Adebayor scoring the winner.

Steven Nzonzi scored his first goal for the club when he superbly headed home a Charlie Adam free-kick from the right, 1-0, while Clint Dempsey kept Spurs in the game with a equalizer as Adebayor later finished the business.

As a result of this win, Arsenal must win when they confront the FA Cup Champions Wigan to get back to 4th position as a slip wont help both Arsenal or Tottenham at this point.
