Keshi plans replacement for Emenike, Anichebe tops list

Nigeria national team Coach Stephen Keshi has listed three players as replacement for injured Emmanuel Emenike with Victor Anichebe on top on the list, Joseph Akpala and Micheal Eneramo.

Emenike has suffered another long-term injury after he was sidelined for about two months with a hamstring injury he picked up against Mali in the semi-final of the recent Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.

The Spartak Moscow of Russia striker will therefore not be available for selection during a busy schedule in June that will see the Eagles play two World Cup qualifiers as well as feature in the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil.
Meanwhile, Everton Striker Victor Anichebe has has hinted he would not be available for selection, which is very sad according to the AFCON winning coach.
