World Cup Project: Super Eagles 2-2 Mexico

As part of preparations for the busy June schedule, Nigeria played a 1-1 draw with Mexcio in an international friendly game at the Relliant Stadium in Houston, USA in the early hours of Saturday. 

 

 Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez gave mexico the lead while Brown Ideye scored from the penalty spot to level up after a red card was issued to Barrera as he blocked Nnamdi Oduamadi’s goal-bound effort. The Eagles took the lead through John Ogu while Chicharito pounced again to secure the draw for his team.

 

Nigeria will travel back on the continent, where they will face Kenya on Wednesday, in a crucial 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying game
