This category of award was introduced last year and it was won by the Delta state Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan who was lauded for his unending support to one of Nigeria's leading athlete, Blessing Okagbare and development of sports in the state.

''The stakes are very high for all 3 nominees as they have earned their spot in this category.''  - Kayode Idowu (General manager Unmissable Incentives Limited) said on behalf of the organizers on their website.

It is also worthy of note that the 3 Governors are back to back nominees having contributed immensely to sports development in the county.

The Award is established to reward Nigerian sport stars for their efforts in keeping the passion of sport alive in the hearts of millions of Nigerians.
