Eagles, Negras now to clash in Abuja

The international friendly between Nigeria's Super Eagles and the Palancas Negras of Angola will now hold in Abuja on Wednesday 11th January 2012.
According to Supersport, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) was made to shelve the plan to organise the tune-up game in neighbouring Cotonou, Benin Republic in order to avoid creating a negative impression about the nation's security at international level.
There are indications that the game is likely to be played behind closed doors in the Abuja National Stadium on Wednesday, while the team is expected to leave Abuja for Monrovia to face the Lone Stars of Liberia in another international friendly on January 14.
