Rangers moved from 11th place to 8th recording 20 points after 14 matches and have a date with last season champions, Kano Pillars on Wednesday.

Speaking with our correspondent Busayo Olowookere, Coach Imama Amapakabo said his team is poised for more points in subsequent games in the league.

''We were optimistic going into the game against Sunshine and we still have 62 points to play for, he said.

''Hopefully our players will adhere to the plan in the coming games and the target will be achieved.''

Meanwhile, Pillars were held to a 2-2 draw by Dolphins FC in Kano after taking a two-goal lead. They also lost 3-0 in Akure against Sunshine Stars but will hope to find their feet this midweek.
