Obafemi Martins endorses APC Lagos Governorship Candidate Akinwunmi Ambode

Seattle Sounders striker Obafemi Martins has endorsed the All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode for the Lagos State governorship elections.

He dopped this pic on his Instagram with post ''APC for Change''

Reports say it that the footballer was at the party's rally held in Oworonsoki area of the state on Monday.

Former captain of the Super Eagles also recently endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan during PDP Presidential campaign.

Obafemi Martins makes MLS Best Eleven

Nigerian striker Obafemi Martin has made the 11-man list of outstanding players in the Major League Soccer for the recently concluded 2013/2014 season.
The former Inter Milan striker joins was named along with colleague Chad Marshall who has made the MLS Best IX before.

Obagoal as he called netted seventeen times to be the club's highest goal scorer.

It's Obagoal's Birthday: What a year for Obafemi Martins. Story in Pictures



His club Seattle Sounders won the MLS Supporters Shield, Won The Player of the Month Award in August and being nominated for same award for October. He and his club also won the US Open Cup in September 2014.

Obafemi Martins voted player of the month

Seattle Sounders striker, Obafemi Martins, has been announced as MLS player of the month after beatingLandon Donovan to bag the award.
The Nigerian popularly referred to as Obagoal had a run of  five goals and one assist in five games catapulted him to the nomination list.
Obagoal had a total 58.43 percent of the votes to surpass Landon Donovan, August's Player of the month winner, who finished with 13.56 percent.
Martins' honor marks the second time a Sounder has taken home this award in 2014, with his strike partner Clint Dempsey having claimed the April edition.
Seattle presently sit top of both the MLS Western Conference and Supporters' Shield standings, level with Donovan's Galaxy.

Obafemi Martins score as Seattle Sounders win US Open Cup

Nigerian international Obafemi Martins was among the scorers as Seattle Sounders beat Philadelphia Union 3-1 to clinch the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.

The victory marked the fourth of its kind for Seattle while Philadelphia are yet to have the cup among their silverware.
