Yobo drums up support for Goodluck Jonathan ahead of February Elections in Nigeria

Former Captain of Super Eagles Joseph Yobo has once again endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan for the forthcoming Presidential election in February 2015.
 
Yobo was one of many PDP supporters who stormed the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, to witness the president's campaign.
 
When handed the microphone, the former Fenerbache defender charged the youth to support GEJ in the elections, “If not for Mr President, Nigeria won’t have won the Nations Cup Again After 20yrs.
 
''He has helped the youths a lot, support Goodluck Jonathan. I am here to speak on behalf of the youth. President Jonathan has done so well and we say continue,'' he said.

Homeboy Emem Eduok scores as Akwa Ibom Stadium gets commissioned

Dolphins striker Emem Eduok made history after scoring Nigeria's only goal against the meteors of Ghana to mark the Akwa Ibom Stadium commissioning ceremony on Friday evening.
The Akwa Ibom born striker headed home a Solomon Kwambe across to put the Home-based eagles ahead in the 35th minutes which gave Nigeria victory in the international friendly match.

The commissioning of the world-class edifice was however led by President Goodluck Jonathan, who was assisted by Ghana’s John Dramani Mahama and Ivory Coast’s Alassane Ouattara.

Modelled after Johannesburg’s Soccercity and Bayern Munich’s Alianz Arena, the 30,000 seater edifice has a bullet-proof State Box, which has 70 seats.

Presidential host for Super Falcons placed on hold

President Goodluck Jonathan's proposed dinner with the Super Falcons has been postponed until further notice.

The victorious Falcons were scheduled to meet with the Nigerian President on Wednesday 5th Nov, night to have their reward for their feat at the recently concluded Africa Women Championship.

Reports have it that the president was at an African Union gathering to quell the uprising in Burkina Faso, a nation which has been taken over by the Military.

SL10 however reports that the reason for the postponement wasn't revealed at the time of filing the report, but SL10 sources scooped from a top official of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) that his Excellency will certainly bless the ladies with cash incentives and possibly some other rewards.
