'Soccer will miss you' - Ronaldo tells Thiery Henry



Hours after former French striker Thierry Henry announced his retirement from football, his erstwhile teammate at Barcelona Ronaldinho sent out his tribute.

Ronaldinho share via his Instagram ''Googdluck to my friend Thierry Henry. Soccer will miss you. Congratulations for all you have done at the pitch and success in this new phase.''

According to reports, Henry tried recruiting the Brazilian for his last club New York Red Bulls in the MLS.

Thierry Henry hangs boots, joins Sky Pundit crew

Former Arsenal star Thierry Henry has announced his retirement from football after leaving New York Red Bulls this month amidst speculations he might rejoin Arsenal, rather he chose to be a Sky Pundit.

"It has been an incredible journey," he told Sky Sports.
 

He played for Juventus, Barcelona and Monaco, scored 175 Premier League goals and is fourth on the list of all-time scorers.
 

Henry won two Premier League titles and three FA Cups with the Gunners, where he played between 1999 and 2007.
 

He added the Champions League with Barcelona in 2009 and returned to Arsenal for four matches on loan from the Red Bulls in 2012, coming on as a substitute to score the winner against Leeds in the third round of the FA Cup.

Thierry Henry may feature in France vs Brazil friendly

Thierry Henry has been in the new lately after he ended his four-years contact at New York Red Bull in the MLS.

Report  on Kickoff.com has it that the former Arsenal player is being considered by the coach of Les Blues, Didier Deschamps for next year's international friendly against Brazil, in March, 2015.

"It has become such a big media subject," Deschamps told RMC. "Thierry Henry is a great player. He has marked the history of the France team, as have some others.

"It is worth thinking about. I'll take the time to discuss it with the federation president.

"After people have ideas, they end up in the press. I won't close the door but I don't want to put pressure on this issue.

"We will take the time to discuss it. This is not for tomorrow. It will keep going. Thierry Henry is Thierry Henry."

Henry 37, made his debut for the national team in 2007 becoming the country's leading scorer with 51 goals in 123 appearances.
