Victor Moses set to return for Stoke City

Nigerian international Victor Moses is ready to return for his club Stoke City as they travel to play Leicester City this weekend in the English Premier League.

Moses suffered a thigh injury towards the end of November and has since been out.

The  Nigerian tweeted ''Off to training looking forward to the game this weekend''

We wish our own Victor all the best in his first game of the new year.

Confirmed: Victor Moses to miss Liverpool tie, out till January

Victor Moses will not be a part of Stoke City to that will face Liverpool in Saturday's Barclays Premier League match after it was confirmed that the Nigerian had picked up a thigh injury.

The Nigerian international will be sidelined until January according to a report on the club website released on Wednesday.

''On-loan winger Victor Moses is facing the prospect of at least six weeks on the sidelines with the thigh injury he sustained in last weekend's defeat at the hands of Burnley, but there's optimism that Marc Wilson may be available for the trip to Merseyside,'' - The report reads.

''We are delighted to have Victor Moses'' - Stoke City Chief

Nigerian forward Victor Moses has moved to Stoke City on a season-long loan from Chelsea FC.
 
Chief executive of Stoke City, Tony Scholes said that the club is happy to have the 23-year old Super Eagles player in their fold.
 
 ''We are delighted to have secured the services of such an exciting young talent in Victor.
 
''He will certainly add to our attacking options and from talking to him it’s obvious that he’s really excited about the prospect of making an impact in the Premier League with Stoke City'' said Tony Scholes.
 
Moses was on loan at Liverpool last season making just 6 premier league starts, 13 from bench and scored just a goal.

Mikel, Moses not listed for Chelsea's Austria Pre-season Tour

The duo of John Obi MIkel and Victor Moses were not among Mourinho’s 26-man squad which arrived in Austria earlier today for the start of our two-week European training camp.

Where exactly will these two Nigerians be heading since they are not in the plans of the Special one for the tour? Anyway....

Holidays after the world cup is responsible for their exemption which also include the likes of Oscar who featured for Brazil.

Chelseafc.com reports that the three new signings (Cesc Fabregas, Diego Costa and Filipe Luis) joined up with their team-mates for the first time, and they were joined by Cesar Azpilicueta and Gary Cahill, who returned to the group following their post-World Cup break.

The squad touched down early in the afternoon before heading to their hotel. They will train at Waldarena, Velden this evening, with a double session scheduled for tomorrow.

On Wednesday, the team will face RZ Pellen, then NK Olimpija Ljubljana in Slovenia on Sunday, before matches against Vitesse Arnhem and Werder Bremen, in the Netherlands and Germany respectively.

World Cup: Victor Moses may be sent packing for refusing to warm up against Argentina - Report

Following the reports making the rounds that Victor Moses is injured and that has been responsible for his not being fielded in matches against Bosnia Herzegovina and Argentina.

Brila FM Lagos, confirmed that the player is not actually suffering any form of injury. According to the report filed in from Brazil, ''Victor Moses was among those players called up by Coach Stephen Keshi to warm up but he refused, feeling disappointed of not getting a starting line up and may risk being axed from the team by the coach.''

Moses was fielded against Iran and was substituted before the end of the match.

The Nigeria super Eagles qualified for the Round of 16 despite losing to South American giants Argentina 2-3 on Wednesday and are set to play Group E winners France while Argentina confronts Switzerland.

Mikel, Moses' lack of playing time is worrisome - Lawal

The World Cup is fast approaching and some key players of Nigeria Super Eagles squad are not been fielded enough in their respective clubs as Nigerians are earnestly looking forward to a good outing at the competition later which is about four months away. 

It is based on this happenings that Nigeria Ex International, Garba Lawal raised an alarm over the inactivity of some member of the Super Eagles stating that the likes of John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses are cause of worry for the county.

Lawal told Brila FM, that ''It is not good for the Super Eagles team, if these players are not having playing time before the world cup''.

The Atlanta 96' Gold medalist however stated that the Eagles need to prepare hard ahead of the the challenge in Brazil.
