Togo and Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayo has been granted leave of absence by his club to resolve personal matters back home in Africa.
The club confirmed on Twitter but would not delve into the reason for the leave stating that it is a private matter.
''we can confirm that Emmanuel Adebayo has been given permission to return home for personal reasons, the statement read via @SpursOfficial on Twitter.
''This is a private matter and so we will not be providing any further comment''.
Adebayor and his family have been in the news over issues relating to ''witchcraft and bewitchment''.
