Eagles recall excites West Brom striker Ideye

West Bromich Albion striker Brown Ideye has expressed his excitement to have been invited back into the Nigerian senior national team fold.

Ideye last saw action in the colours of Nigeria at the last Confederations Cup (2013) but has been named among the players to feature in friendlies this month.

The 26-year old shared on twitter '' So happy to be back with the National team #supereagles #keepbelieving''

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are to play South Africa and Bolivia later this month but reports have it that Bolivia are opting out due to security concerns.

Brown Ideye: All hail Valentine's Player of the Day

It's a season of love all around the world no doubt. One player who recieved all the attention both home and abroad is Brown Ideye after he grabbed a brace to see help West Bromich Albion progress into quarter finals of the English FA Cup.


He's been missing the love and now when he's found his feet again, banging in goals, getting four in three appearances. Why not! Let the love flow.

Ideye is indeed grateful for this times and the much love from his fans.

Ideye scores as West Brom secure draw at Burnley

Nigerian forward Brown scored West Bromich Albion's second goal to level up at Burnley in a premier league battle on Sunday afternoon.

The former Dynamo Kiev striker had before now been under pressure and was reported to have been linked with a move to a Qatari club, Al Gharafa.

Home team Burnley were leading 2-0 before half time but West Brom rallied back with Brunt and Ideye scoring to keep the sides at per.

The Nigerian shared on social media (Instagram) ''Difficult game today thank God we came back strong,great job from all the lads👏 #hardworkcontinue #GreatGod''

''I'm still a player of West Bromich Albion'' - Brown Ideye

Nigerian international Brown Ideye has dismissed reports linking him out of West Bromich Albion, just hours after the transfer window closed.

Ideye who has only scored twice for the English club in all competition took to the social media (Twitter) @OfficialIdeye on Tuesday morning to share this statement.

''I'm still a West Bromwich Albion player, don't know where that news about me leaving #wba came from, I've not started doing what I know how to do best, so I can't just leave #wba like that #biglovetoallthefans #lovewba.''


Reports also had it that an agreement has been reached with Al Gharafa of Qatar, for the Nigerian striker who cost the Baggies £10m just last summer.

Disturbed Ideye also told the media few days back that pressure is also coming from his immediate family, even his son asks him if he scored after a game.

My take: Goals will come Ideye, stay focused!

Westbrom signs Nigerian forward Ideye for a record fee

Westbromich Albion have announced the signing of Nigerian forward Brown Ideye from Dynamo Kiev of Ukraine.

Ideye passed the medical and has joined the Premier League club for club-record fee of £9m.

The 25-year old was not included in Nigeria's World Cup Squad but was part of the team that won the 2013 African Cup of nations in South Africa.

He brings home his champions league and Ukrainian league experience.
