EPL: On that Fateful weekend

The weekend was quite an eventful one for some teams especially those hoping they could end as Champions this season.

For Chelsea, they were away to Fulham at the Craven Cottage but it was like home away from home when the goals started pouring in as they won the encounter 1-3 with Andre Schuerrle scoring a hat-trick. The Blues are now four points clear off Arsenal and Liverpool and this could mean a lot.

Quite unfortunate for Arsenal as they seem to be losing grip on the title challenge gradually. The Gunners lost 0-1 to Stoke City, a side that has beaten the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United this season. It could just be that decisive weekend for the Arsene Wenger Boys having ''tried'' to remain contenders till this point.

It was a happy weekend for the Reds having to close in at the top of the table. Liverpool are second to Chelsea but could be cemented if....

Manchester City didn’t play in the League at the weekend as a result of their Capital One final engagement in which they beat Sunderland to lift the trophy consequently leaving them in third place with two matches outstanding.

Here are the weekend results:
Everton 1- 0 West Ham
Fulham 1-3 Chelsea
Hull City 1-4 Newscastle
Stoke City 1- 0 Arsenal
Tottenham 1-0 Cardiff
Aston Villa 3-1 Norwich
Swansea 1-1 Crystal Palace
Hull 1- 4 Newcastle
