Debuchy backs Calum Chamber to shine in Arsenal colours

Reports on Arsenal.com states that Mathieu Debuchy has praised Calum Chambers’ potential as the teenager prepares to fill in for him as he recovers from injury.

The 29-year-old defender suffered a sprained ankle against Manchester City and will miss the Champions League opener against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night.

"Calum is a very good player, he is very young and has a great potential," Debuchy told Arsenal.com.

"He proved himself since the beginning of the season, when he performed very well.

"He is very talented and will bring a lot to Arsenal.''

Chambers has predominantly been used as a centre back at Arsenal, but made 22 appearances at right back for Southampton last season. Debuchy has been impressed with him and believes the best is yet to come.
