Enough! No more naming your babies ''Messi'', authorities tell Lionel Messi home town residents

Reports have it that authorities of Lionel Messi's hometown, Rosario, Argentina, has banned people from naming their children "Messi."

 

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, the director of the Civil Register of the Santa Fe province, Gonzalo Carrillo, has said Messi is now not permitted as a forename

 

A family who did just that for a new-born son prompted the law.
