Van Gaal aims to lead United to top three finish

Obviously, the addition of Radamel Falcao  from Monaco and Daley Blind (Ajax) to the already existing new signings like Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo, Ander Herrera and Angel Di Maria has given boosted the confidence of Louis Van Gaal as he targets top three spot in the EPL.

The Manchester United manager told the club website in an interview reported on the club website that the clubs has expectations which include finishing among the top three so as to make it to the next Champions League.

Looking forward to turning around the bad start the club has had so far, United face Queens Park Ranger on Sunday on away soil and the manager speaks:

"We [van Gaal and the club] have spoken about the target when we have the meetings together," he explained. "I think a club like United has to have targets. I also have targets so I don't think it [top three] is an unreasonable target.

"It shall be difficult but a club such as United has to always have a target. I think within the [top] three is logical because United want to be in the Champions League."
