Arsene Wenger has called for patience from Arsenal faithfuls concerning new signing Danny Welbeck.

Reports on Arsenal.com says the Arsenal manager was speaking to the media after the 2-0 loss at Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night where he refused to criticize Welbeck but insists that patience with him is key.

''He will [finish], I don't think we have to make a problem with that. -Wenger said.

''He had a very lively first half and he couldn't finish from his two or three good chances in the first half.

''We have to be patient [with him].''

Danny Welbeck 23, was allowed to leave Manchester United because he could not be compared with the likes of Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Radamel Falcao.
