AFCON Qualifier: Congo shock Nigeria in Calabar

Reigning African Champions, were beaten at home by the Red devils of Congo in their opening qualifying group game on Saturday.

Efe Ambrose headed the Eagles ahead in the 14th minute but the devils replied with goals from Thierry Bifouma who scored twice while  Prince Oniangue scored the third goal.

Gbolahan Salami scored Nigeria's second later in the match as the Eagles battle to rally back proved abortive.

The Eagles will face South Africa and Sudan in other group games with hopes of seeing Morroco next year.
