Spain and Barcelona international, Carles Puyol has indicated that he will hang his boots in the summer. The Barcelona captain who is 35 has an existing contract with Barca that runs till 2016 but an agreement has been reached by the player and Barca to rescind the two years left in the contract.
He joined Barcelona La Masia in 1995 when he was 17, having spent about two decades ath the club, the center-back will not be able to emulate the likes of Paolo Maldini who retired at 40 due to injury and fatigue.

He has paid his dues & he has tried his best. Having played just six games for Barca this season, shows that he's not having it good due to injuries. #Respect.
