Ten-man Nigeria Flying Eagles on Tuesday lost 2-1 to Uruguay in a round of 16 match of the FIFA U-20 World cup in Turkey.
A 2nd half brace from Nicolas Lopez ensured that the Eagles didn't fly beyond this stage although with Abdullahi Shehu sent off towards the end of the first half.
Uruguay drew the first blood, Kayode Olanrewaju scored a screamer to put the Eagles back but Nicolas Lopez scored again to seal the match for Uurguay.
Uruguay now face Spain in the quarter final.
