The Commonwealth Games Federation on Tuesday July 29th said Nigerian
female weightlifting Gold medalist Chika Amalaha has failed a doping
test and has been suspended from the games.
According to the Games Federation Chief Executive Mike Hooper, Amalaha 17, tested positive for diuretics and masking agents after winning
gold in the 53-kilogram (117-pound) division last Friday July 25th.
The backup "B'' sample will be tested tomorrow Wednesday July 30th and the process will continue.
