The French Open also known as Roland Garros is one of Tennis
majors (Grand slam), usually held in Paris France between May and June as this year’s event commences on 26 May, 2013
to end on 9 June, 2013.
It is a clay surface, with this year’s being the 80th time
that the tournament is being played at Roland Garros.
This year's event features top tennis players like Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Li Na, Victoria Azarenka including Spain's Rafael Nadal who is the defending men's singles
champion, while Maria Sharapova from Russia is the holder of the women's title, and
other seeded players will also be a part of it.
The total prize money is € 10,104,000
