Final Four: And on the last day you shall know your place (OPINION)

ByAmos Joseph
Without mincing words, for Arsenal and Tottenham, fourth place is like winning the title for this season as it presents an or another opportunity to play at the most prestigious competition in Europe next season UEFA Champions league.

Funny enough, the fifth place is just a step downward but non of these team would really like to be there but the fact is that one of them will definitely be fifth, and consequently, will be playing Europa League next season with the other two that makes it.

It should aslo be noted that Chelsea are not out of the web yet. The Blues must beat Everton to guarantee automatic entry into the Champions League but they know that, barring defeat allied to the most ridiculous swing in goal difference, their top-four place is secure.

Having reaffirmed their European success with an Europa League title, Chelsea would like to build on this success and move to Europe next season with great plans of strengthening the squad including the managerial role is on the watch.

For Tottenham, it could be said without fear of contradiction that if they fail to make it to the champions league, they will have to lose some of their key men who want to have a taste of glory and greener pasture. Transfer pages can attest to that.

Victory over Sunderland will complete a haul of 72 points, which would have been enough to secure fourth place but largely dependent of the Gunners if they misfire.

More so, for Arsenal they have been participating in the champions league for over a decade with the French man Arsene Wenger at the helm of affair. Many will say Arsenal are not winning laurels but this time the only coveted laurel is to beat Newcastle this weekend to finish strong and pray Chelsea slip to move a step to third position.

Give us this day. That will be the prayer from the camp of these teams involved and with time, they'll know their place.
