The ''supposed'' favourites (Man City) finished the match with 10 men after Pablo Zabaleta was sent off with six minutes left.
The later it got, the better for Wigan that had not more than one shot on goal. It was a dramatic and historic win for Wigan being the first time the club has won the FA Cup.
However, Wigan will face Manchester United in the Community Shield on 11 August at the Wembley Stadium.
