Korea Republic almost denied the Nigerian U-20 Women’s national team victory on Saturday as their second Group C game of FIFA
U-20 Women World Cup in Canada ended 2-1 in favour of the Falconets.
Courtney Dike's early goal put Nigeria ahead and another goal by Chinwendu Ihezuo nearly took the match out of the reach of the Koreans who later showed wha stuff they are made of coming up with fierce
attacking.
The Koreans pulled a goal back in the 72nd minute through Kim Soyi following a poor defending by the Falconets.
The game was an end-to-end affair but the Nigerians held on to snatch
a victory which takes them to top of the table with 4 points.
Nigeria however face England late Wednesday night next week.
The English team were held to a 1-1 draw by Mexico in their game earlier.
